It’s a doll’s life for primary pupils

Children from Charles Darwin Primary have explored some tiny doll's house treasures during a visit to Norwich Castle Museum.

The Reception and Year 1 pupils visited the exhibition ‘Small Stories: At Home In A Doll’s House’ on Friday, March 17.

The children practised their skills of studying fine details and ‘really seeing’ to explore 12 vintage dolls' houses which are on loan to the museum from the V&A Museum of Childhood in London.

And they even got to become dolls themselves, ‘shrinking’ and stepping into recreated rooms from the 1840s and 1960s.

Principal Jo Brown said: “The children loved their visit to the museum and were fascinated by the amazing display of dolls' houses.

“I can’t wait to see how their work in the classroom is inspired by what they’ve learned.”
